Home Made soap… such a tasty idea

Hello friends

This is my first week at home due to my pregnancy… it’s a pleasure stay at home… actually it’s a little strange to have so much spare time… No panic… let’s see how I can use this spare time in excess!

In my honest opinion the best way to use the time is doing something we like. And I like making home made things, baking and trying new ideas and make some mess!

For this reason I took my hold block notes in which I wrote all my DIY ideas in the past few months and I pick one of these ideas: home made soap.

I had this idea few months ago while I was looking for an original gift for some of my friends. These friends really enjoy natural and hand made cosmetics.

So I decided to make home made soaps and put in these a bit of my origins and a lot of fantasy!

What I need and How I Made It

For all the projects shown below we need only:

  • Base soap (bought on Amazon 1 Kg for € 12,25);
  • Essential oils, spices, coffee, food coloring (actually you can use almost everything you want);
  • Molds.

The process is super easy and similar for all the projects:

  • first of all I put my oils, spicy herbs or coffee inside the molds;
  • I melted the base soap in the microwave l
  • I put the melted soap in the molds;
  • I let them dry and that’s it. My soaps are ready to use or to be packaged.

Let’s see what I’ve done

Some tips about castor oil and sweet almonds oil.

First of all if you decided to buy them choose organic ones with only one ingredient (castor or sweet almonds oil) and prefer the ones cold pressed.

Castor oil is excellent for hair, brow and eyelashes growth and health. You can put some drops of castor oil on your eyelashes and eyebrow before sleeping for a natural growth. You can also use castor oil added to olive oil for an hair mask before the shampoo (pay attention you should be really patient because is a little a long job to remove all the oils from the hairs, if you are in hurry don’t apply this mask)

The most famous benefit of almonds oil is its ability to be super moisturizing and at the same time extremely gentle on the skin. In fact you can use sweet almonds oil during your pregnancy for prevent stretch marks on your belly. It is recommended also for newborn skin hydration: you can put few drop in the bath for a gently hydration, you can also use it for baby massages. At last but not least sweet almonds oil is a great natural make up remover and it working well also for remove the water proof make up.

Some months ago i read something about the ability to caffeine to fight cellulite. Indeed coffee is one of ingredient in a lot of anti cellulite cream.

In addition of this great ability to fight fat and cellulite, I think that the smell of coffee is wonderful, so I decided to make my personal Coffee Soap
