Stain resistant rice

Hello everyone!

In this post we talk again about wedding aNd rice. Every bride and also all the bride’s friends must know a basic thing:

RICE MAKES STAINS!

So, if the groom have a dark suit, when guests throw the rice, his suit will be full of a lot of tiny white dots. This dots will be perfectly visible in all the pictures and videos. Yes we can photoshopped these… but there is a different and easy way to do that!
For begin the first thing to do is provide our own rice to the guests. In this way we can choose resistant stain rice! And that’s it! No more white dots on our perfect groom!

We may buy in a specific store, or online, special resistant stain rice. It is the best solution if we want colored rice. These stores offer also white rice but sometime it is really expensive, so my advice is to buy common rice and wash it carefully to make it stain resistant. This is the DIY solving!

How make it?

There is a really easy method but it required a bunch of time, therefor start early is the better idea! Follow the following steps and you can’t miss:

put the rice in a bowl of cold water for at least 2 hours;
change the water once in a while and at the same time shake the rice. When we shake it, the rice releases the starch more quickly;
spread the washed rice under the sun, and occasionally scatter it a little bit to facilitate perfect drying.
Remember: before using the washed rice, it should be perfectly dry. Otherwise the rice will make the mildew and you wasted it and your time and all your work and you have to start again!

Ok now we have a perfect resistant stain rice…. but where we can place it?

If you are interested in my advices, you can wait next post! I tell you some idea for your rice container and I explain how I made the rice container for my wedding!
