Hi everyone!
Some days ago, I was walking down the street of my town, and I saw a couple of just married guys go out from a church. So I was started to think about our own wedding day, or our best friend’s wedding day and I thought that this could be a good topic to talk about! For every woman the wedding day is the most important day in all the life, and it is necessary that every single detail works perfectly on this day. Today I tell you about this, but I’ll do it in a different way… I want to talk about the details: all the little things that make the difference between a good wedding and a absolutely perfect wedding.
I have a lot to tell….
So let’s start!
After the ceremony, one of the most impressive moments, for the spouses and for all the guests, is the exit from the place of the celebration. At this moment all guests throw an huge amount of rice to the spouses.
Have you ever asked why we do this?
The tradition borns from an ancient chinese legend. The legend tell the story of an old sage who was walking in the countryside and he saw that all around him there was only a big dearth and dead fields. Very sad for this vision, the old sage tore the last white teeths from his mouth and threw them in the dead fields. Some day after this special seeding, all the fields were full of a little white seeds like teeths. The rice’s harvest allowed the farmers to live long in prosperity.
In similar way, like the old sage, the guest throws the rice to the spouses as a wish of prosperity, wellness and abundance.
Not only rice
Today the traditions are reinterpreted and we can choose different options for our wedding day. In addition to the white rice you can use colored and cheerful one. You have a large set of options to choose from: romantic petals, little
flowers and lavender buds if you like real flowers. Also paper petals are really nice and paper confetti or little paper hearts are really cute. In some case, there is someone even throws the pasta! It is really weird but funny! Soap bubbles are amazing! At last, but not least, if your wedding is “eco friendly” and you won’t waste rice because it is food, you can give guests small bags with birdseed instead of rice.
Times are changing but the wish for the spouses is already the same.
The rice’s moment is very suggestive and it is important that your photoreporter is in a good position for take a gorgeous pic! Trust me this is one of the best memories of your wedding day!
This is only a little detail for a bride…. but there are some things about it that can change your day! You must know that! so…
Stay tuned!!
