Use your fantasy for choosing the design and the materials of your containers: classic cone, tiny PVC or cardboard boxes, little reusable bags, container made of real leaves.

Some good advices:

1. Each guests must have a container for throwing rice. I think is a good choice produce a single rice container for each guest. Alternatively you can provide common big containers placed at the exit of the place of the ceremony;
2. Remember: the guests will throw away the rice container after used it. This is the reason why you must make cute containers but also cheap! Weddings are really expensive, you can save a bunch of money in that way if you pay attention to the price of these details;
3. You have to prepare the rice containers in advance and give them to a friend or relative before the wedding. Him or her will be the person in charge to handle the right placement of rice containers. Never forget: one of the key word of a successful wedding is to delegate to someone (professionals, friends, relatives…). We can’t and we mustn’t do everything by ourselves!

My personal experience

I made a huge work of researches to find my perfect rice container. I also created a several trial versions of these. Trust me, if you like a country style details, the easier and cheaper way are cones made in brow packaging paper, with ribbons, buttons or real flowers. If you prefer something more romantic you can use the white paper used for cake’s bases.

At the end I choosed a cone made of Sisal and ivory paper. This combination fits totally with the colors and the style of my wedding day and with the same materials I realized others details for this special day (ceremony books, maps…).
